Consider: to think carefully about, especially in order to make a decision
What is my future as a Believer? Heaven.
- Do I think carefully about Heaven when making decisions and in my comings and goings?
My answer is: “Not enough.”
Consider this:
- What I do now will have rewards or consequences?
- What I do now will draw me closer to God or pull me away from Him?
Lord, Your gracious and sovereign hand has saved me more than I will ever know. Holy Spirit, You have redirected my steps, without my knowledge, interrupting my comings and goings in order to keep me on the right path. Forgive me when I stubbornly and thoughtlessly white knuckled my way to do what I want to do giving no regards to my future. I can’t express enough the gratitude I feel knowing that my future is secure and that I am Heaven bound. Help me, Holy Spirit, to consider Heaven every day in everything. Help me not to forget the benefits of being a child of the Most-High. Help me live a life worthy of my position in the family.
What His people did with the land:
- So, the message of the LORD spoken through Jeremiah was fulfilled. The land finally enjoyed its Sabbath rest, lying desolate until the seventy years were fulfilled, just as the prophet had said.
2 Chronicles 36:21
What His law said about the land:
- Six years you shall sow your land and gather in its produce, "but the seventh [year] you shall let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of your people may eat; and what they leave, the beasts of the field may eat. In like manner you shall do with your vineyard [and] your olive grove.
Exodus 23:10-11 (KJV)
- But during the seventh year the land must have a Sabbath year of complete rest. It is the LORD’s Sabbath. Do not plant your fields or prune your vineyards during that year.
Leviticus 25:4
What God said about His Word:
- So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:11 (ESV)
