At that time the LORD sent me a message. He said…

Jeremiah 32:6

In captivity, God:

• Gives instructions to us while we are in captivity (all his prophecies but sometimes personally.  Jeremiah was to buy land, land that would be overtaken by Babylon.

• Expects us to obey while we are in captivity (Jeremiah’s cousin came and He purchased the land.)
  ‍
• Tells us secret things we need to know while we are in captivity. Tells us things we need to know (Jeremiah 33:3 - Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. God invited Jeremiah to ask Him questions.)
  ‍
• Brings joy after our captivity (Jeremiah 33:6-9  He will heal and restore the land.  The people of the world will see all the good I can do for my people, and they will tremble with awe at the peach and prosperity I provide for them.)

Jeremiah to God:

O Sovereign LORD! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!
Jeremiah 32:17

God to Jeremiah:

Then this message came to Jeremiah from the LORD: “I am the LORD, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?
Jeremiah 32:26-27

Stay close to God, even in captivity.
