The LORD says, “Now I will show them my power; now I will show them my might. At last they will know and understand that I am the LORD.”

Jeremiah 16:21

God promised a mighty revelation of His power and greatness to the Gentiles. This promise was fulfilled in the display of God’s power and love through the work of Jesus and the ongoing presentation of that message.

O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.
Jeremiah 16:19 (KJV)

We will know and understand God through

• His judgement and discipline
• Our submission and obedience

We will know Him.

• For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the LORD, ‘every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’”
  Romans 14:11

The choice is ours:

• The way of submission and obedience results in eternal fellowship with the Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent God where His power and might are yielded for our good, protection, and provision.

• The way of stiff-necked stubborn self-absorption resulting in eternal separation from the Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent God where His power and might are yielded against us in judgement, discipline, and judgement.

I love seeing prophecy from the Old Testament that speaks of the privilege of me, a Gentile, having the opportunity to know God.

Live everyday of life thankful for the privilege to be called a child of God, and to understand His Word.
