RTW 2022

That night the secret was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven. He said, “Praise the name of God forever and ever, for he has all wisdom and power.“
Daniel 2:19-20

What can I add to this? Nothing.

• This portion of scripture is powerful.
• This portion of scripture is ageless.

Let’s recount the God of our ancestors:

• He has all wisdom and power.
• He controls world events.
• He sets up and removes those in power.
• He gives the wise wisdom and scholars knowledge.
• He reveals all mysteries.
• He knows what is in the dark.
  (I love this: even though He is in the light. Good stuff!)
• He gives wisdom and strength.
• He reveals what we need to know, when we need to know it.

Dear Lord because of your great promise to Abraham we are blessed and can call you the God of our ancestors. We can trace your power, authority, faithfulness, and love throughout the generations. We repeat Daniel’s declaration of praise to You-oh deserving One.

“Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted. “I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a god!”
Daniel 3:25

I wonder if others see another person with me when I’m in the fire… the courtroom… the unemployment line… the grocery line.. the chemo room… the funeral home.

Praise my King! He is the same today, yesterday, and forever. He’s the same God of Daniel, Meschach, Shadrach, and Abednego.
