How often do I ask a question of the Lord and set off another thing before I get a response?

When we move onto the next thing before we receive a response from the Lord, we:

• Miss intimacy with the Lord.
• Seek answers in the wrong place.
• Compromise what we know by aligning with the world.
• Walk away from our faith.

“Stay” around for a response… 

• Stay close in Spirit.
• Stay close in the Word.
• Stay close by not making a decision.
• Stay close in obedience.
• Stay close with likeminded friends.

Pilate’s wife had a nightmare. I wonder what the nightmare was about.

Just then, as Pilate was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent him this message: “Leave that innocent man alone. I suffered through a terrible nightmare about him last night.”

Stay close to the Lord, even when I don’t receive an answer to my question. Stay close to His definition of truth.
