After This

After this Manasseh rebuilt the outer wall of the City of David, from west of the Gihon Spring in the Kidron Valley to the Fish Gate, and continuing around the hill of Ophel. He built the wall very high. And he stationed his military officers in all of the fortified towns of Judah.

2 Chronicles 33:14

My Takeaways

Something Old

The prayer of repentance will change a person, but it will not remove the consequences of their sin. There are benefits and blessings when we accept the consequences, and allow change to take place.

Allowing the change to take place,

  • Will make the consequences bearable.
  • Give you the opportunity to glorify God.
  • Shows others what God can do with a life surrendered and redeemed.

“Turn to Him with brokenness of soul, and He will not only forgive, but bring you out again; and give you, as He did Manasseh, an opportunity of undoing some of those evil things which have marred your past.” - F.B. Meyer

Something New

Who was Asherah?

She was considered the moon-goddess and was named the chief female deity worshiped in ancient Syria, Phoenicia, and Canaan.

All about her

Something to do
