Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them.
Isaiah 8:12
Conspiracy: an agreement by two or more persons to commit a crime, fraud, or other wrongful act.
The LORD has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does.
Isaiah 8:11
- Fear the Lord, not the unknown (Isaiah 8:12,13b)
- Make the Lord holy (Isaiah 8:13a)
- Trust Him to protect me (Isaiah 8:14)
- Preserve His teaching (Isaiah 8:16)
- Wait on Him (Isaiah 8:17)
- Put hope only in Him (Isaiah 8:17b)
We don’t have to live, breathe, or grieve without hope, so why do we?
- May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Romans 15:13 (ESV) - In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope. But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.
Ephesians 2:12-13Â - Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1 (ESV)
How then should we live?
- Live aware; not in fear.
- Live informed; not transformed.
- Live with caution: not without confidence.
Living in an area all around, I can’t imagine this.
Of all that glorious forest, only a few trees will survive— so few that a child could count them!
Isaiah 10:19
